"But since then there has not arisen in Israel a prophet like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face,"
â€â€Deuteronomy‬ â€34‬:â€10‬ â€
Moses was such an incredible example of a humble servant of the Lord. In many ways, Moses was Christlike and foreshadowed the Christ who was to come. Like Jesus, Moses was born into a godly home at a difficult time in Jewish history. Like Jesus, his life was threatened. When Moses gave up the riches of Egypt, he was like Jesus l, who became poor that he might share spiritual riches with many. Like Jesus, Moses was rejected by his people the first time he tried to help them, but was accepted by them when he came the second time (Exodus 2 and 4). Israel rejected Christ the first time He came, but they will receive Him when He comes again. Moses resembles Jesus in many ways, but there is only one Jesus, perfect in all of His ways laying His life down as a sinless sacrifice! On this Good Friday, May we remember that it is due to the holiness of Jesus that He could pay the sin debt that we owed but could not pay. Praise the Lord!
