"Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name when they saw the signs which He did. But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man." John‬ â€2‬:â€23‬-â€25‬ â€
Certainly there are many signs that point is to Jesus and there is nothing wrong with the signs. We have the word of God, people proclaiming Christ, Romans 12 the witness of our own faith, and so many other signs. These are not being negated. The point John is making is that it takes more than signs and believing in miracles for a person to be saved! Seeing the signs and believing the in them is a great starting point. The disciples started this way, but they had to grow in faith. We are the same! We need to be saved through belief and abandonment to Jesus and now we need to grow in faith! How do we grow in faith? "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God" Romans 10:17. Let's dive into the Lord book, the preaching of the Word of God, and the teaching of the Word of God! Amen!
Leviticus 1-3
God spoke to Moses and told him to speak to the children of Israel and inform them of how they were to make acceptable offerings and sacrifices unto Him.
John 2
Jesus performs His first miracle of turning water into wine after his mother asked Him to. He honored His mother in doing it. The miracle was only revealed to the ones who filled up the vessels with water. They became His followers. Then Jesus continued on to the tabernacle where vendors were selling outside and turned the tables over. He told the guards to destroy the temple and in 3 days He would raise it back up. They didn't understand what He was really saying, but His followers would later remember what He meant when He would be resurrected on the 3rd day after His death and burial.
