Romans 14:23, "...for whatever is not from faith is sin." 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." So many times, in so many ways we fret over things. This speaks to my heart greatly this morning! I must walk by faith and not doubt wavering back and forth like a boat on the ocean. God has given us a Spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Anything outside of this is the flesh and the devil. Why worry? Why doubt? Why be troubled? All of this is the opposite of the Spirit of Christ in us. Let us walk by faith and not by sight! Amen!
2 Timothy 2:15, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and idle babbling, for they will increase to more ungodliness." What a charge! I love this! Diligence is such a wonderful character trait, but it is also the trait of a Christ follower! May we be diligent to be approved by God! In this we will have no shame! Amen! Let us rightly divide the word of God! But notice the next charge of verse 16, "avoid idle babbling, for it will increase to more ungodliness." Those who have time to babble are idle and not busy. Remember, an idle mind is the devils playground. We are to be busy for the Lord and His work! May the Lord give us wisdom to avoid the idle talk and be about His business!
