"And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.""

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭14‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

"But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,"

‭‭Romans‬ ‭4‬:‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What a hope we have in Jesus. The one who fights for us, the one who has saves us, the one who justifies us. From the Old Testament to the new, Our God has never changed. He has remained faithful in his word and in his promises. It is not about us, but it is about what God has done. We are hopeless without the work of Jesus Christ and what he accomplished on the cross and when He rose up out of the grave. He has delivered us and He alone justifies all who believe upon Him. We serve an Awesome God!

Romans 4

Abraham had faith and beleived in God. He did not waver when God came and gave details and instruction for him. Therefore, it says he was justified because of his unwavering belief in the Father. We are to believe and have faith that Jesus is the son of God sent to atone for our sins on the cross and rise again on the third day. Our acceptance of salvation begins with faith that God is who He says He is.

Exodus 13

Nothing convinced Pharoah to release the people of Israel from bondage until God struck every first born son. The people of Israel were then commanded to dedicate all of their first born sons to the Lord as a reminder of that. I believe that detail was highlighted by God because it kind of foretold of what would bring us out of bondage. It would be the life of His only begotten Son! Thank you Jesus for anointing for our sins!

Exodus 14

God had moved in so many mighty ways to help Israel escape. When things seemed uncertain, they doubting that they had done the right thing, but God never left their side and lead them in such a miraculous way- parting the Red Sea for them to walk through, but not sparing the Egyptians. Moses told them that God would fight their battles and they had nothing to fear. They learned that they had nothing to fear but God himself. It makes me think of the scripture that says, "If God is for us, who can be against us." Hallelujah!

3 John

Verse 9 stands out to me. It says...I wrote unto the church but Diotrephes who loveth to have preeminence among them, receiveth us not.

He was arrogant and made it all about himself. He wasn't walking in the Love of Jesus Christ. We have to ask the Lord, "everything that's not right in me take it away." And we have to realize that what we do for God, it's for HIS glory! It's not about stroking our egos. I think that's something that we have to be intentional about- humbling ourselves before the Lord and ask Him to help us remember the why and the who we are doing things for. If we're doing things for the approval of people, then we can't also be doing it for the Lord, can we?

In contrast Gais walked in love and loved his brethren in Christ. He's the example of what to do in our walk with Christ. I beleive that loving God is the first commandment because we need to have Him to keep the second greatest commandment to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. I believe we also have to be intentional in asking the Lord to help us love as He loves. It's only by the power of His Holy Spirit that we can because that's not always easy. I thank Him for sancitfying us and I thank Him that we can count on Him to help us.

When we abide in Him, He abides in us and we bare the fruit of that. Love for our neighbors and our brothers and sisters in Christ!
