Exodus 3-4
God spoke to Moses and gave him instructions but Moses didn't believe he could speak on behalf of the Lord. Moses didn't believe he was a good speaker and even after God had shown Moses His power, Moses still didn't believe in himself. It wasn't himself that he needed to believe in though. It was God. I see myself in Moses so much because I have very often been too afraid to speak up to share the hope of Jesus Christ. I know that I need to trust what God wants to do through me. I think, who am I that the Lord should use me or like Moses, I don't know what I will say. Here God tells Moses that He will give Him the words to say. All Moses has to do is go and open his mouth to speak. If God propmts us to speak up and share His hope, we have to trust that He will be the one speaking through us. This reminds me of the scripture that says, (Hebrew11:6) But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Faith is required to come to Christ and it is required to be obedient to Him. May God increase our faith and obedience.
1 John 2
There is no righteousness apart from our Lord Jesus Christ. If we love Him, we will keep His commandments and we will be unashamed when we are face to face with Him.
