""And this day I came to the well and said, 'O Lord God of my master Abraham, if You will now prosper the way in which I go, behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass that when the virgin comes out to draw water, and I say to her, "Please give me a little water from your pitcher to drink," and she says to me, "Drink, and I will draw for your camels also,"-let her be the woman whom the Lord has appointed for my master's son.'"

Before Abraham's servant finished speaking, Rebekah steps out coming to the well and does exactly, word for word what he just prayed. Now you talk about praying specific, this is praying specific. The beautiful thing about praying specific, is that when God answers, you know it is God. There is no denying that God moved and answered because everything prayed in detail took place. How about you and I? Are we praying and asking God specifically for what we need Him to do in our lives? Let's practice praying specifically so that we can see God answer in this same way!
Genesis 24-25: Sometimes when we pray, God allows those things to come to fruition immediately, and sometimes it takes a really long time. In Genesis 24 we see that before the servant could even finish his prayer, God brought Rebekah out to fetch water and he worked out every detail. In comparison, in Genesis 25 Isaac prayed for a child when he was 40 years old, but Rebekah didn't have the twins Jacob and Esau until Isaac was 60 years old. If it is His will, it will happen in His perfect timing. Also, I found it interesting how Esau didn't care at all about his birth rite. He cared more about feeding his stomach than he did his birth rite. But Jacob desired to have the birth rite. It was as God had said- that the older would serve the younger. If God says, you can believe it!
Abrahams servant was about the Fathers business FIRST. "Food was set before him to eat, but he said, "I will not eat until I have told about my errand."

I love the theme of "Here I am" with Abraham and then Rebekah "I will go."
I can't imagine what Rebekah must have felt when she inquired of the Lord about her womb and the babies struggling together...
"But the children struggled together within her; and she said, "If all is well, why am I like this?" So she went to inquire of the Lord. And the Lord said to her: "Two nations are in your womb, Two peoples shall be separated from your body; One people shall be stronger than the other, And the older shall serve the younger."

Acts 12: Herod found pleasure in harassing the disciples. We see that he killsJames with a sword and then captures Peter and binds him in prison. But Herod didn't know who he was dealing with. He was up against the mighty God! The church was praying fervently for Peter and God sent an angel of the Lord to free Peter from the chains that had him bound and then Peter was seemlessly led out. The disciples were amazed at how God had answered their prayers. Our God is a miracle worker and a deliverer!...As wicked as Herod was, he took pleasure in being praised by the people. As Herod sat on his thrown arrogantly and royally adored, they declared him a god and not a man. Immediately God struck him down and he was eaten by worms because he took the glory and did not give it to God. God is a jealous God and forbids us take any of the glory for ourselves. He is the creator of the universe! The reason we breathe! He made a way for us to be free from sin! He alone deserves the glory!
