Starting out with how these two believers LIED by how much they sold property for and were struck down by God. The 9th commandment, thou shalt not bear false witnesses. This just gives me more evidence that we are still to obey His commandments and not to abuse the grace that has been given to us from the cross!
Then 5:36-39 explains how there have been several people who rose up in popularity but their cult always ended up failing. This Pharisee warns them that if it is of man, it will fail.
"But if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them, lest you even be found fighting against God." So they were persuaded by him."

And here we are 2,000 years later!! Still talking about the Nazarene who claimed to be the Son of God. There is so much proof that exists to state that this is all real. The One true God!
Praise be to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. It is through Him that we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that He lavished on us. In Him, we have obtained an eternal inheritance ðŸ™
Genesis 11:7, "Come let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." Genesis 11 is a chapter about the people building a tower that was to reach into heaven. This tower was a shrine unto other gods. What a mockery. The chapter speaks clearly about the fact that the entire world spoke one language. Verse 5 says that the Lord came down to see the city and the tower. The Lord goes back into heaven and speaks with God. In verse 7, the word "Us" is used. The Lord is having a conversation and they decide to come down and confuse the language of the people and to stop the building of the tower. This is amazing! When you read the word "Lord," it is referring to Jesus. This is called a Christophany...an Old Testament appearance of Christ. Here is Christ with the Father. Amazing. Reminds me of John 1:1. Jesus is there with the Father. What a blessing!
"But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out. "Go, stand in the temple courts," he said, "and tell the people all about this new life."
At daybreak they entered the temple courts, as they had been told, and began to teach the people."

THIS might be my new favorite verse..."Peter and the other apostles replied: "We must obey God rather than human beings!"
