"But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did."
â€â€Genesis‬ â€6‬:â€8‬-â€9‬, â€22‬ â€NKJV‬‬
Verse 8-9 and 22 shows the faith that Noah had. Noah found grace with God because he walked faithfully with God. Amongst the impending doom, Noah, a righteous man, found favor with God, which gave a beacon of hope for mankind's survival and renewal.
Gods purpose for the world was that his image would walk the earth, image in likeness of all good things. Not just how we look but how we act, love and kindness. But we became everything God wasn't. Except Noah, who walked with God. Who WALKED with God! Also in all ways not just with him but of him. WOW!
Peters healing of the lame man by the name of Jesus is the example of how through his name, our faith in him our souls are healed and our sins forgiven. What a miracle it is to be saved by blood of Jesus. A MIRACLE.
Genesis 6 I am watching for descriptions of what the people were like in Noah's day. In Matthew 24:37, Jesus said in essence, you will know when I am returning because the people of the earth will become like the people of Noah's day and age. Genesis 6:5 says the people were wicked and "that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." Verse 11 says, "The earth was corrupt before God and the earth was filled with violence. 12 So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way." Sounds like our world today. Whew!
In Genesis 5 it's interesting to read the genealogy of Adam. But by the time we get to Enoch, how refreshing to hear that he walked with God 300 years. Like Elijah, Enoch's righteousness resulted in God sparing him from physical death, therefore affirming God's power over death! Then we immediately read about the faithful remnant Noah, who found grace in the eyes of the Lord. I'm still fascinated that God established His covenant with Noah, and gave such detail for the ark!
I'm inspired by Peter because after Peter and John, healed a lame man, everyone was amazed, and Peter immediately gave the credit back to the "Prince of Life", the very one they denied and killed.
The credit should ALWAYS be given back to the Lord.

Such an encouraging message. He is the Hesker of our souls.
