Whew! Bible history and church history is dotted with people who began running the race with great success, but when nearing the end failed because they neglected the word of God and stumbled, even fell in their walk with God. They did not lose their salvation, but they lost rewards (1 Corinthians 3:15). This happened to Lot, to Samson, to King Saul, to Ananias and Sapphira and it can happen to us. We have to guard ourselves. Give no provision to the flesh and walk with God in humility always giving Him the glory! We are nothing. He is everything!
