"according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Philippians‬ â€1‬:â€20‬-â€21‬ â€
What a declaration from the heart of the apostle Paul as he is chained to a Roman guard awaiting for his trail in Rome. He is not asking to be set free, he is asking for the Gospel to go forth. His desire is for Christ to be magnified in his body whether through life or death. What can man do to you when you have that mentality. Whether I live or die, I simply want Christ to be magnified! Amen! May this be the desire of our souls, for Christ to be magnified! Paul says in verse 21, if I live on in this body it will be for Christ. If I die, this will be gain because I will be with Christ. WOW! What a perspective! Paul had such a deep understanding of heaven and he longed to be there with the Lord Jesus! Today, let's ask God for more boldness for Christ. May we speak of the Gospel and share the good news of Jesus with a co-worker or someone the Lord allows us to meet!
